About

The Founder and Editor of World Landscape Architecture (WLA) organizes the annual WLA Awards, student design competitions, and other publications and events. I regularly write articles focusing on trends in landscape architecture and the landscape industry.

I serve on the Board of the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, one of the world’s leading botanic gardens and a center of excellence for horticulture, science, and community engagement. The Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria is managed by the Royal Botanic Gardens Board Victoria, which operates under the authority of the Victorian Minister for Environment.

From 2016 to 2025, I held the position of Chief Technical Officer at ASPECT Studios, a landscape architecture firm with offices in Australia, China, Vietnam, the UAE, and the UK.

I founded World Landscape Architecture (WLA) in 2007 to provide landscape architects a platform to advocate and promote landscape architecture. It became known as WLA in 2010 and started publishing projects and news. The digital magazine launched in 2013, releasing 33 issues, with the final edition published in 2019. WLA has grown to over 55,000 monthly readers worldwide, and the WLA Awards, are held annually, attracting over 400 entries across various professional and student categories.

I have taught Professional Practice at RMIT/University of Melbourne and have spoken at several universities, including Tongji University, Zhejiang University, and the University of Guelph. I have presented at various conferences, including the 2024 Landscape Festival in Bergamo, Italy, the International Landscape Architecture Festival in Hangzhou, China, and the 2017 World Design Forum in Montreal, Canada. Additionally, I have given presentations at several universities, including UAD and Shanghai Jiaotong, and at various prestigious landscape firms in China, Australia, and the USA.
