Commentary is cheap. Are you ready to commit fully?

When you make a comment or post a tweet, it is often a cheap one-way transaction that often lacks insight. Sometimes, it can be fun and just a flippant one-off comment that you hope gives someone a smile or laugh. But all too often, commentary has become a cheap shot to prove a viewpoint rather than looking to seek an open conversation about a topic or issue.

The question then becomes, are you willing to make a commitment to sit down, comment, listen, respond and possibly go off and learn some more about the person, topic or project? Are you willing to do some research (beyond Wikipedia or social media) and increase your understanding of a topic? Are you open to a situation where you may change your viewpoint or admit you are wrong?

If the answer is yes, then we all have the intestinal fortitude (guts) to follow through with the commitment.
